AT for Musicians, Performers & Performance Anxiety (Hybrid Class)
Taught by Richard Brennan and Kecia Chin
April 14th, 6:30-8pm
The Alexander Technique is a method of self-awareness on many levels. It is very simple and can be understood by anyone, yet at the same time it is very profound and can be beneficial to musicians and singers who suffer from performance anxiety, or from tension problems when playing their instrument or singing. AT is a way of improving balance, posture and co-ordination by becoming aware of and releasing muscle tension that all too often goes unnoticed by the musician or the music teacher.
Richard Brennan

Richard Brennan has studied the Alexander Technique since 1983 and has been teaching the technique full time since 1989 he travels throughout Europe giving talks and courses on the Technique. He has taught the Technique at many educational centres including Galway University, Limerick University, Dartington College of Arts, Middlesex University and in the Music Department of DIT, Dublin.
